A QUALITY SCOTTISH WEDDING BAND

We completely understand that trying to choose a band for your wedding (or your special event) can seem an almost impossible task. Trawling through hundreds of websites, agency listings, attending wedding fairs and even going along to local gigs hoping to spot someone you like - it’s a tiresome and time consuming task - time that you often don’t have when planning everything else for your big day. For that reason we have done everything we can to make the whole process as simple and hassle-free as it possibly can be. We can take care of your whole day of entertainment from your ceremony right up until home time. We pride ourselves on the effort that we put into every aspect of our work and we hope this comes across through our website and communication with you!

Happy Retirement Les!

🎶 They say all good things come to an end… and with that, it’s the end of an era for us - Les is retiring! 🎶

After jumping up on stage for a bit of fun over 12 years ago, little did he know he was about to be roped into more than a decade of performing with us! 😅

We’ve shared the stage more times than we can count! Hundreds of weddings, thousands of miles across the UK & Europe and countless memories along the way. It’s been extra special for Hannah & Michael, getting to share the stage with their Dad! 🥰

Les has shared a lifetime of musical knowledge and helped shape the band into what it is today and we honestly couldn’t have done it without him. ♥️

We’ve still got a few weddings left this year but, when the clock strikes midnight on Hogmanay, Les will be hanging up his bow for the last time… a fitting way to close out one amazing career. 🥂

Thank you for everything, Les - enjoy your well-earned retirement! 🎻

As for what’s next for the band… hold onto your hats - things are about to get exciting! 👀✨

We have some 🚨 BIG NEWS! 🚨 You may have noticed some changes creeping in on our page over the past few weeks… 👀 we’ve dropped hints in our stories, updated our logo, changed our band name, put out a search and held auditions for a drummer and more recently announced Les’ retirement from the band. Add to that the arrival of our little boy Mack last year it’s safe to say it’s been a huge time of change for us! 👶🏼 With that, Hannah will be stepping back from evening weddings over the next few months but will still be performing our duo ceremony & drinks reception sets. Our fantastic piano dep Luke is also moving on to new musical opportunities and will be taking a step back from performing regularly with the band. 🎹 With this in mind, over the past few months we have been working hard behind the scenes to create and develop something truly special and we are thrilled to finally share this with you all! It’s time to say hello to… 🎸🪩 JORDAN MURRAY & THE PLUCKERS! 🪩🎸 From 2026 onwards, the band will consist of: • Jordan on vocals & guitar • Bass guitar • Lead guitar  • Drums • + Tracking This exciting new set-up means: ✨ A bigger, fuller live sound - think a four-piece band with the impact of a five-piece! 🎶 A fresh, updated song list with even more floor-fillers and crowd favourites 🥁 The introduction of live drums - adding a whole new level of energy and excitement 🕺 And… the long-awaited comeback of our live ceilidh! We’re SO excited about how incredible the new band sounds and we can’t wait to bring that energy to 2026 and beyond! To all our amazing couples who’ve already switched to the new lineup - THANK YOU for the love and trust ♥️ You’re in for something unforgettable. ✨ And to all new enquires coming in - we see you and absolutely love how keen you are to secure us as your band!! 💯 It’s about to get busier than ever before but we seriously can’t wait! 1 year since I packed the van and drove a 3000+ mile round trip to play for Neelam & Ciaran’s stunning wedding in Majorca! Here’s a wee story of how we did this! (Pictures in order) What a trip this was! Packing for a holiday is one thing but packing for a full band wedding in a different country is another. The amount of logistics and planning that goes into a Euro band trip is mad and we’ve done a few! As the drive would take 3 days I decided to make a bed for the cab. This came in so handy! The plan was to drive down through the day on the Monday to the Eurotunnel and sleep in the van until the train was due at 3am. It turned out however that there was nowhere to park up so I pulled into a Novotel, parked up, walked in like I was staying there and input the reg of the van to avoid a ticket and then went back and slept in the cab - worked btw! I made it to France for around 4:30am on the Tuesday morning and the plan was then to get past Paris before rush hour - that way I would be able to make the 11 hour drive to the ferry in Toulon all in the one day! The Ferry check in closed at 5pm so I had to make it by then - made it! I then had an over night sailing arriving in Majorca on the Wednesday morning! At the same time the rest of the guys were boarding their flight from Edinburgh, I was due to meet them off the plane later that day! Before this though I had to check in to our villa so I could unload the van and cab bed to make space for all of Hannah’s suit cases 😜. I then had a meeting with the coordinator for a walk round of the venue to scope out the locations for the wedding on Thursday! Finally made it to the airport and picked up Hannah, Mike, Les, my Mum and Mike’s girlfriend Cadhla. It was really special to have my Mum come along for the trip too! OUR WEDDING OPTIONS

DAY MUSIC:

CEREMONY MUSIC

Start off your day with either our solo or duo ceremony set. We’ll play a mixture of our laid back covers whilst your guests take their seats, we’ll then play your entrance song, signing of the register and walk out music. These can be any songs of your choice and don’t have to be from our song list as we’ll learn these from scratch! Our solo option is Jordan on vocals and guitar and our duo option would be Jordan joined with our pianist.


DRINKS RECEPTION MUSIC

Eventually - time to relax! And what better way to start off your evening of entertainment than with an hour or two of music from Jordan or the duo. The selection of stripped back covers is the ideal way to keep your guests entertained whilst you both head off with your photographer to have your photos taken.


THE MEAL SET *Please note - This option can only be booked 3 months prior to your wedding date*

THE TURN AROUND SET *Please note - This option can only be booked 3 months prior to your wedding date & is not available alongside ‘Evening Music’*

The meal is finished and the speeches are out of the way (phew!) your guests roll out of the dining room full and starting to flag… and then what? A 2/3 hour wait for the evening party to get going?! Uh oh. We often turn up to venues and half of the guests are away for a lie down at this point… boooo! As the room is being changed round from the dinner set up to the evening entertainment, there is a real lull in proceedings for your guests. Our turnaround sets provide up to 2 hours of entertainment, keeping you and your guests engaged (and awake!) and perfectly fills the time waiting for the room and band/dj to be ready for your first dance. It also means that your evening guests arrive to a fabulous atmosphere which helps set the tone for the rest of the night!

Want a banging party? Book Jordan and The Pluckers to bring the perfect party atmosphere to your wedding! Fronted by Jordan Murray on vocals and guitar, our high-energy 4 piece band delivers a full, lively sound with electric guitar, bass, and drums all layered with our signature piano tracks and to keep things fresh and unique. From sing-along classics to dance floor anthems, we’re all about big tunes, good vibes, and unforgettable nights. Whether you’re planning a wild reception or a fun-filled evening with friends and family, Jordan and The Pluckers know how to get the party started and keep it going!


THE EVENING SET

Our evening set covers 4 hours of music from the band including a buffet break and a shorter interval later in the night. Full sound and lighting for the band and dancefloor are completely taken care of and included in the price and we also offer to learn your first dance song.


THE BEST OF BOTH

Our best of both option is perfect for those who can’t decide between a live band and a DJ for their big day. The band will perform from 8 - 11pm and then we will provide our Virtual DJ service from 11pm - midnight. Our Virtual DJ is a seamless transition from band to DJ. As soon as we play our final chord the music will then be cranked up to keep the party going for the last hour without anyone even noticing - no awkward breaks involved! Our state of the art sound system will play out your favourite songs as our lighting set up illuminates the room and dance floor, giving you the full DJ experience minus Disco Dave's cheesy call outs! You are welcome to supply us with your own playlist or just leave it up to us! We can ask your guests for their requests on the night ensuring everyone gets to hear their favourite party tunes.


CEILIDH

With either of our evening options, we can provide ceilidh with calling and demonstration. We can either play this as a set or 4 to 5 dances at the start of the night (after the first dance) or we can play these throughout the course of our first set, interspersed with our normal set.

NEW TO 2025! THE WEEKENDERS *Please note - These options can only be booked 3 months prior to your wedding date*

  • The Night Before Set - If you’re staying at your venue for the full weekend, the night before is such a special time to chill out with your nearest and dearest, share a couple of drinks and relax before the big day! Adding some live music to your evening sets the perfect atmosphere and means that you make the most of every minute of the weekend! Our solo and duo line ups are available for this and we can keep things nice and laid back if that’s what you’re after or ramp it up a bit if you fancy getting the party started early! 


  • Day 2 Music - If you’re lucky enough to have the use of your venue for the day after your wedding, you might be planning to enjoy some nice food (maybe a BBQ if the weather is good!) some games and a general debrief from the day before with your family and friends before everyone heads off home after an incredible weekend. These are some of our favourite days to perform at - everyone is in the love bubble, happy, chilled and almost always up for a sing along with us! Our solo or duo option can be booked for the day 2 music and are the ideal way to create a classy and memorable end to your big celebrations!
